The majority of my experience is working with patients preparing for weight loss surgery. What that really means is that I’ve discussed using nutrition as a tool to manage all obesity-related health conditions. Yes, weight loss is sometimes a goal. But, ultimately the number on the scale is not what should determine your health.

Here are some things you won’t get from me: lectures, strict diet plans, a list of foods you should never eat again, a negative image of yourself. Here are some things that you can count on: skills for eating intuitively, better self-esteem, confidence in your ability to achieve a healthier lifestyle. Sure, we can talk about recipes and counting calories. But, diets don’t work. So I’m not going to put you on one.
